Adelaide students work through the online theory locally and travel to Sydney for the supervised practical days. The next in-class intake runs from Friday 22 to Friday 29 January 2027.
Tell us where you are and where you are starting from. We reply with the fees, the dates and the detail that applies to your situation.
Every enquiry is answered by the Academy rather than by an automated sequence. Tell us what you need to know and we answer that.
The fees in your currency, the dates for the intake you are considering, and how a distance learning fee is deducted if you later attend in class.
Classes are limited in size, so an early enquiry gives you more choice of intake. It holds nothing and obliges nothing.
The qualification is deliberately split. Theory, history, ethics and case work are delivered online through the students resource centre, which you work through at your own pace from Adelaide. The practical component - inductions, supervised practice and assessment - happens in the room, in Sydney, because competency is assessed live.
Because the practical days run as a block rather than weekly evenings, most Adelaide students complete each stage in a single trip. That suits someone already working: the hours come out of one period of leave rather than a weeknight class stretched over months.
One trip covers it. The in-class training is eight consecutive days: four days of Advanced Hypnosis and one day of Advanced Mind Dynamics with Rick Collingwood, and three days of Advanced Mesmerism and Magnetism. Michael Nadalin delivers a separate session on self-hypnosis, hypnosis for achievement, and marketing your practice. If you would rather not travel at all, the distance learning trainings are completed entirely from Adelaide.
The Academy was founded in 1993 and Rick Collingwood has trained more than 5,000 students in his hypnosis styles. That is the reason Adelaide students travel for the practical days rather than train closer to home. See the Sydney training detail.
