About our training curriculums
With more than thirty three years of real world international training experience and more than 5,000 past students, Global Hypnosis Academy training is second to none.
Our focus doesn’t just deliver a book of relaxation scripts or NLP or Ericksonian techniques and academic theory. We teach you how to Hypnotise and Mesmerise easily, effectively and confidently. Both of the in-class and the online trainings are thorough and structured to ensure that every student learns all of the theoretical and practical skills needed to become a confident competent hypnotherapist.
The in-class Certificate of Hypnosis and Mesmerism requires the completion of six days in-class training, together with a 150-question open-book examination and five self-assessments.
Upon successful completion of their training, in-class students receive a professional Certificate of Hypnosis and Mesmerism, and online hypnosis students a Certificate of Clinical Hypnotherapy. The six in-class days and how the Certificate of Hypnosis and Mesmerism is assessed are set out on the six day in-class training page.

Google reviews
These Google reviews were submitted by students who trained directly with Rick Collingwood, and were written while he owned and was head trainer of The Australian Academy of Hypnosis, which he founded in 1995 and owned until March 2023. Some of the reviews name courses of that time, which the present trainings have now replaced.
I trained at Rick’s Australian Academy of Hypnosis, and he is an amazing energetic hypnotist with a phenomenal amount of knowledge! I’ve researched many alternative courses and his is the real deal. So much so that I’ve taken 12 flights from Sydney to attend his class in Melbourne, it’s totally worth it! And you don’t pay an arm and a leg for a life skill that can truly help people physically and emotionally! Take advantage of the rare opportunity to train with this true master of energetic hypnosis while you still can. You won’t regret it!!
I have trained with Rick Collingwood at the Australian Academy of Hypnosis and absolutely loved the training, I have completed his certificate courses.
I really enjoyed Rick’s authentic, interesting approach, his wealth of knowledge is exceptional and his stories very entertaining making learning easy. We had many opportunities to practice and embed our learnings enabling me to feel confident and excited enough to leave my corporate role and begin my business, Rick also offers students opportunity to have mentoring at an easily affordable rate. His courses are exceptional value for money.
I had an amazing time at The Australian Academy of Hypnosis as a student who completed the Certificate of Clinical Hypnosis certification. Rick is highly skilled and caring trainer and mentor. He provided a lot of helpful hypnosis intervention strategies and powerful inductions that will assist you to see what you as a practitioner are truly capable of. The trainings had a wide array of content and styles incorporated with them. This was much more than just a school, it was an experience. I grew personally, professionally and spiritually from my time at Rick. If you are ready to take your hypnosis skills and depth of knowledge to the next level, then training with Rick Collingwood is a must.
